pink = Samos
red = Icaria + Fournoi Korseon

Currently both isles resp. isles group are part of province Ermoupoli.

From 1827 Samos and Icaria were part of autonomous Principality of Samos which was tributary to Ottoman Empire. It was planned that Fournoi Korseon become part of Principality of Samos but was given to a Greek marine as reward by Ottomans. But this isle came under Ottoman control again in 1864.

Icaria became independent as 'Free State of Icaria' in 1912 when Italian troops occupied Dodecanes. Fournoi Korseon were part of 'Free State of Icaria'. Icaria was occupied by Greece in First Balkan War and was formally annexed by them in 1913.

Samos rebelled against pro-Ottoman prince when Italian troops occupied Dodecanes in 1912. Annexation to Greece was proclaimed during First Balkan War. Samos was formally annexed by Greece in 1913.

Suggestion: Separate Samos, Icaria and Fournoi Korseon from Ermoupoli as one province and name it 'Samos' (or whatever the Greek transliteration is).
